Hi! I'm Mark Vergara, a fresh graduate with a BS in Information Technology (graduated July 2025). While my formal education provided a strong foundation, I'm proud to say that the majority of my technical knowledge is self-taught through hands-on experience and continuous learning.
I'm currently working as a Web Developer at a company, where I develop and maintain applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and PHP full stack technologies. This role allows me to apply my skills in building scalable web applications and continuously grow as a developer.
During my 3rd year of college, I gained valuable experience through a 3-month remote part-time position as a junior developer at a company based in Manila. This was my first opportunity to work with a professional team and learn collaborative development practices.
I also completed an internship at a Local Government Unit where I led a team of developers to create workflow and printing optimization software, collaborated with HR as a technical consultant to architect a secure, locally hosted employee information system, and successfully deployed three applications tailored to government operational needs.
